Process for a board and skill game
To begin this process, you must obtain our file opening kit by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page. For a detailed description of this service, please refer to our « Guide pratique de l’inventeur ».
Step 1. Brief analysis of the game
The main purpose of this analysis of the various components of your game is to guide you in your future endeavors. Once your file has been opened, our evaluator will study the information contained in your confidential disclosure form and write a 15-page report containing comments, suggestions and recommendations.

Step 2. Copyright registration
Board games are generally protected by copyright registration. Once registered, your game is protected internationally for up to 50 years after your death. It should be noted that skill games and certain board games that include a mechanism may be protected by patent. If this is the case, the analysis report will mention it.

Enclosed you will find your file opening kit, the forms of which must be saved in a file before being filled in on the computer or printed out and filled in by hand. Please return the completed forms to: info@inventarium.com with the subject line "File opening documents". As mentioned, this kit is free of charge, and you are under no obligation until you return all the documents to us.
